Chitta Ranjan Chaki – Grameen Shakti

Mr. Chaki has 24 years of experience with national and international development organizations (e.g Grameen Bank, CASHPOR Inc., PDBF and Grameen Shakti) for improvement of socio-economic conditions of the rural poor communities through micro credit/poverty alleviation program. His core areas of expertise are managing and operating micro-credit programs; project planning and management; monitoring and evaluation and internal auditing to name a few.

He has been with Grameen Bank for the last 18 years at different management positions such as Senior Principal Officer (Operation & Administration Division), Zonal Audit Chief, International Training Coordinator, including 4 years in credit management, and HR development. He is currently with Grameen Shakti from the last 2 years as the Deputy General Manager.

At the PDBF he was the Head of Microfinance and also the Manager of field operations. He was responsible for the implementation of the micro finance programs among other things.

In CASHPOR (Credit and Savings for the Hard Core Poor) which is an International Organization based in Malaysia that provides training and technical assistance for Partner Organizations in Asia and Pacific Region, he was the Senior Manager for Training and Technical Assistance where he was responsible for the administration and monitoring as well as organization of workshops for the company and its partner organizations. He was also responsible for monitoring the implementation of the programs of CASHPOR.
